Comment faire tourner un chien de tête à droite et à gauche ?
Voilà tout l'art du musher, apprendre les ordres de direction aux chiens de tête. Plein de méthodes existent. La meilleure que j'ai testée avec mes premiers à l'époque où je vivais en centre ville est d'aller dans les parkings de voitures et d'y faire circuler les chiens en cani cross à travers le dédale de véhicules stationnés. Le chien travaille en répétition et apprend rapidement les ordres. Le problème, c'est qu'étant loin d'une ville maintenant je ne peux recommencer cet exploit que d'avoir un excellent chien à l'âge de 10 mois qui connaissait tout. Maintenant j'ai bien des difficultés pour y arriver car je suis en plein champs, et pour entrainer je n'ai que de grandes lignes droites sans direction.
Il me faut trouver autre chose. J'ai donc renfilé mon VTT et dans mon village autour des maisons, me voici, le matin, à entrainer Sofia et Earny. Les ordres défilent et je m'aperçois qu'il y a bien du travail en perspective. Mais il faut ça pour s'aligner sur une course.
